When do I get paid?
Payments are deposited on Friday each week, for any projects approved and paid out prior to Thursday of that week.
Do I need to file this income on my taxes?
EETech will send you a 1099-NEC if you meet the requirements each tax season. Please refer to your tax preparer for advice, or more info here.
I've moved - do I need to update my address?
I changed banks, how do I update my direct deposit?
You can update your banking information at anytime by completing a new finance form here.
Points & Badges
How do I redeem my points?
To redeem points, submit the form on the Project Submission Board and mark the category of the project as “Point Redemption” and follow the instructions on the form.
Where can I view my points and money totals?
On the Project Submission Board in monday.com you can click on the tab labelled “Student Dashboard” this will show you how many points you’ve earned and redeemed, as well as payments received.
I think I've earned a badge but I haven't received it
If you believe you have earned a badge, but can’t find the image in the Badge Downloads folder, contact Jenn for assistance. Please note that it may take 3-4 business days before the badge is available to download after earning it.
Where do I download my digital badge?
You can download your digital badges from the Badge Downloads folder.
What are the different types of badges?
You can learn about the different badge levels on the Award Center page near the bottom.
Projects
What can I post on social media for the program?
The standard social media post options are:
- showcasing another project you completed for the program (blog)
- promotional content from the ambassador team (webinars, etc.)
- content regarding DigiKey (how to use their site, promoting DKRed, etc.).
You can also submit ideas outside of these parameters for review.
What platforms can I post on for social media projects?
Our priority platform for social media posts for the program is LinkedIn. Depending on the content, this could extend to Instagram or Discord with approval.
Why is my blog still in Review B?
The Review B step of the blog review process can take up to 3 months to be completed. The item will be updated in monday.com as soon as it has passed this review level.
I made revisions to my blog after submitting, how do I resubmit?
If you edited the maker.io post to reflect the new change, you can leave it as is. If you submitted a new copy of the same blog, you will need to notify the team of the change with the link to the new blog.
Once the change has been made, create an update in monday.com on the task to let the team know it is ready for review again.
What's the special code that I received for my blog?
After passing Review A, you will receive a code to upload with your blog into maker.io. When uploading the content into maker.io, you will paste the body of your blog into the “description” field. Insert the code as the very first line of text in the “description” field before the rest of your blog content. The team will remove this later before publishing.
My blog is approved, but I don’t see it live on maker.io yet?
After blogs pass Review B, they enter the queue to be posted live onto the site. This is determined by their content schedule and the management team is unable to provide any updates on the status of its posting date.
How many times can I post a social media post?
3 posts total per piece of content
This could be 1 post per platform, or multiple posts on the same platform. If you choose to create multiple posts on the same platform for the same piece of content, the caption must be different. In special cases, this limit could be extended. 🦆
